NOW WHAT???

My brother and are fairly new to "night hunting". I think we are doing fairly well in that we always get coyotes to respond when we call but have only gotten one shot. We have a very good spot where there area alot of coyotes but they are hunted heavily during daylight. We have only ever seen one night hunter. What's next? I know that during the day when they stop howling they are on coming in. We have tried everything we can think of, from a variety of calls to a variety of scents, would a decoy work at night? Any suggestions would be appreciated. No, I won't give location.

A decoy is not needed. I presume you are using a red light??? If they are pressured during the day, use a different sound. Look in the archives to get the low-down on more info...Randy

Just got back from calling and although we didn't shoot any they came in. We have tried several "red light" options but none have been very effective as far as our ideas have just plain sucked. I think that will change tommorow when the Dykem Red arrives from Grainger.
