Hey Randy,
Gonna be in the Giddings area of Texas for a few days in March to do some predator calling with a couple buddys of mine. My one frineds inlaws have a few thousand acres (some of it with a bit of oil on it) down there. Was wondering if you (or anyone) had hunted in that general area and had some general advice. Hunting at night is allowed down there, right? Any particular call work better than average? etc?

Thanks

Dawgkilla

It's definitely legal. You might give the game warden a courtesy call just to let him know you'll be out roaming around at night. There is quite a bit of oil production down there....so you'll probably have good luck calling from lease roads or at locations.

Hope this helps,

Rusty

Hey Dawgkilla

We have got tons of oil up here in the Levelland, Sundown area. Be careful and not hit those above ground flow lines. They lay on top of the ground and are black, hard to see at night. They usually follow the roads but can be anywhere. Good luck, See ya F. E.
