I am going to start off by saying that this WILL be a long post. So just sit back and look at the pictures and listen to what a wonderful time that you missed. I am also going to divide up my post into two different posts. One for the fellowship and the other for the hunt.
First things first, I want to thank Jimmie and Brent for putting together another AWESOME hunt. I had loads of fun last year but it was even better this year. Once again thanks for everything both of you do for this sport, Predator Masters and for the rest of us.
Ok now for the fun. My partner Bluesman and I left out on Wednesday headed to the LBL. From the looks of the truck we didn't leave very much at home. By the time we reached the LBL it was misting rain. But we went out anyway and tried to get a response from these so called talkative coyotes. After an hour of riding around and howling we gave up, and headed out to find us a motel for the night.
All the way out there we had talked about if it was raining the next morning we weren't going to hunt. So when daybreak came, we awoke to the sound of rain and what did Bluesman want to do but go make a few stands. We wound up making one and heading on to the cabin, now soaking wet. But happy knowing we had a place to go and get a cup of coffee.
Here we are getting unpacked and Bluseman still wanting to know why we couldn't go back out hunting.
After convincing him that we would go back JUST as soon as it quit raining, he was all happy again. But it never quit raining on this day. Thursday was a wonderful day for socializing with old friends and meeting a lot of new friends. I will put the names with the pictures underneath them, left to right.
The guy on the left I can't remember his name, but on the right is JD (canine). He is getting some warm clothes on after his cold no heat in the truck ride down.
Here is my partner JB (Bluseman, not yet known as Nubs).
Here we have to WORLD famous Brent Saxton (KeeKee). He is out checking to see if it is still raining, for the 697,000 time.
After a while we just gave up wondering when it was going to quit raining.
As evening turned into night the crowd grew larger. We had close to 20 people stop by that night. So needless to say the BS got pretty deep at times. It kept me busy with the snow shovel keeping things cleaned up. Here is one of those times with Joel (Straycat), Brent (KeeKee), JD (Canine), Tom Harris (THarris) and Ray (KRay).
Now inside is where it REALLY did get messy. Here we have Brian (ILcoyote), Stan (Stantheman), Jimmie (Jimmie in KY) and JB (Bluesman) going over the maps. I had JB in there secretly marking our map to match Jimmie's.
Ray(Kray)and Jimmie(Jimmie in KY) saying there good byes.
Sunday morning came WAY to quick. But it was time to get loaded up and head home. Left to right, JD(Canine), Steve(SteveM), Ronnie(centerfire_223),Joel(Straycat), Chris(Rainman), Brent(KeeKee).
Here is a final parting shot of one that were left on Sunday morning. Front row left, Steve(SteveM), Brent(KeeKee) and Tom(Nikonnut). Back row left, JB(formaly Bluesman but by now Nubs), Joel(StrayCat), Ronnie(Centerfire_223), Chris(Rainman) and Jimmie(Jimmie In KY). Running the camera was JD(Canine).
I told you this was going to be a long post and I hope you have enjoyed it just a fraction of how much I did getting to relive the weekend once again. Those of you that didn't get to come REALLY missed out on meeting some of the BEST friends one could meet and also some of the BEST callers in the east.
I may have stretched the truth just a tiny bit in a spot or two, but not by much. Everyone come to the 2007 PM's LBL hunt IT IS A BLAST!!!!!!!! Stay tooned for Part 2 the hunt.
