Michigander New Member Registered: 10/02/05 Posts: 21	Made the cover of "Stars & Stripes" from the operation (I believe Operation Chinook, been way to many years in some respects but not in others)in Quang Tri. Still have the paper with my things from back then. Was at Khe Sanh for some of the hill fights 881N, 881S, 861, etc. If you ever get the chance, read the book Khe Sanh Hill Fights, it is well done. I rotated out a few weeks before the siege began. We had been surrounded for quite some time but they didn't completely have their big guns in place at that time. Lang Vei was Army special forces, but we would visit from time to time for a day or two.
