Nice shot WF!

I think I have a couple boxes of those projectiles to load up. I haven't tried them yet. Looks like they perform great!

Thanks guys! I missed one this morning. Didn't have the little pup secured and she ran out on the deck. The toenails on the deck spooked him and he started bugging out. I let out a howl and got him to stop but I flubbed the shot...think it went over the back at about 175 yards. Will load the video when I get back home.

Critters are actively moving around here. Couple of coyotes in the last 24 hours. Seen lots of deer and possums out on the roads late last night. Think I managed to get three hours in the rack last night.

ETA- Those 75's are tack drivers. Any missing is squarely on me.
The 75's out penetrate the 55's four to one and leave big exits. There's little left of them when they're done. Don't need bullets that hold together for my applications.

That's a bummer on the miss. I've missed a couple opportunities due to kids or dogs interfering and spooking off the animals.

Thanks for the feedback on the 75gr's. I'm currently about half way through a 100 rnd box of 75gr V-max's I got loaded up. When those run out I plan to load up a batch of the 75gr HP's.

IDK- That may not be a clean miss on 13. Shot is at 1:49 in the video and he doesn't look as spooked as I thought he did this morning...until after the shot.

I can't tell if the shot looked good or not. I'm not able to go frame by frame to see where the crosshair was on the last frame before the recoil of the shot.

I did notice...at 0:19 it looks like a rat scurried up the post and into your feeder in the lower right portion of the screen.

Comedy of errors putting 13 on the ground. Small 18 pound female was about 70 yards out when I got on her with the rifle. Thermal ran out of juice just as I was pulling the trigger. Switched to the backup with NV. She had moved quite a bit and I was having trouble finding her in the scope so I picked up the scanner while dropping another piece of equipment on my toe. She either heard the thump or the curse but when I found her she was looking up at me. Rolled the rifle that direction and fired...no time to hit record.

Still photo is all I got through the thermal before it died. The 55's (243) did an ugly number on the front of her chest. She was too small and bony to contain the shock wave.

Even though she's young and thin, she's apparently a repeat customer to the bait site. Note the black spot that looks like a tick in the 1st photo. It's a fresh 24 caliber piercing in her right ear. Bet that last running miss almost got her done.

I've had a few comedy-like fumbles myself. Thanks for sharing and nice job dropping the coyote even through all that! haha.

Not the prettiest girl at the show, but she took her medicine and posed none the less. CONGRATS on another!

Yep, she made one last, quick pose. The rest is history.

#14 is another young one. Took him head on at the 160 yard bait site at 2:30am. 243 55gr Sierra. He makes it about twenty yards to the left after the shot. Pulsar C50 w/SHL 66 turbo

Looks like you are still in the game, Wildflights. You are making some very good shots at the 160 yard site. Mine is close at only 60. There has been a coyote visiting my site periodically but haven’t seen her for a time now. I will resume hunting in late August / early September.

Thanks 6mm06. I'm tempted to start walking that site closer but it's right at a pinch point in the travel corridor. It's a natural funnel.
