I'm pretty sure that this is the coyote that we missed a few nights ago. We slipped in to the field from farther away this time and saw him bedded down at 100+-yds. We weren't 100% it was a coyote because he was facing directly at us. I lip squeaked and he looked but did not get up. I had the call hanging from my hip and I hit Vole Squeaks and he still would not get up. I hit Pup Distress and he jumped up. At that point we had a good look at him and were sure. We double tapped him, DRT. 43 lb male. One of the heaviest coyotes that I have killed and probably the oldest. His lower teeth were completely worn away and he was very grey in the face. He also had a touch of mange.
