I saw the thread on StaBall 6.5 with a 30gr. 17cal. bullet, but was wondering if anyone has tried StaBall 6.5 in a 17 Rem. with a 25gr. bullet.
I'm about out of my ol' standby's in 17 cal. and buying more is not looking good. IMR 4320 and IMR 8208 were my top powders. 4320 is no longer made and that's a real bummer, while 8208 can't be bought any where.
StaBall 6.5 seems to be easy to find so would switch to it but uncertain of it's performance in a 17 Rem. with a 25gr. bullet.

I have tried it in 22-250, and 6.5 creedmoor. It’s close to h4350 burn rate if that helps you. The stable match is close to varget.

A shooting range acquaintance had 3lbs. of 4320 he didn't want and sold it to me. That made my day. The 17 Rem. is now covered for a very long time.
I plan on picking up some CFE 223 for either the 204 or the 223. I have 8208 I shoot in both of those with great accuracy and velocity, but I don't have enough 8208 to keep both of them running, so one will stay with the 8208 and one will switch to CFE223. Just not sure which to stay with the 8208, but leaning more towards the 204.
