I have used the 40gr NBT in my 22-204 for the past 17 yrs and am very happy with the results I get from it. It is the only bullet I've used for coyotes that has been consistently easy on pelts other than the 52gr Speer.

What’s the deal with the 25-204?! I’ve never ever heard of that!? How’s the speed? And have you shot fur with it?

The 25-204 is a clone of the 257 Kimber without any fire forming and using off the shelf dies.

Speed wise 100gr Partitions at 2850fps, 85 NBTs at 3000fps and 75gr Vmax at 3150 pretty much matching the original factory ballistics of the 250-3000 and 257 Roberts and all out of 21 inch barrel. Even with the 75s it's too much gun for pelt hunting, the 100gr is perfect for Whitetails.

I dig it. I was hoping it would be a viable option of the 25cal for fur. I’m still very intrigued!

For plinking I buy bulk 85gr cast bullets for the 25-20 and load them over à light charge of 800x.

Another option once your barrel is shot out with the same performance would be a 22 creedmoor. Lots of good brass no fireforming lots of load info out there. I know it’s the creedmoor case but it does perform.

I put a 1-12 Brux on a 700 chambered in 223AI. I really like that chambering. I need to work up a load for it, hardly shot it last year.

The 22-204 now there is a sensible wildcat, I've been shooting one for 17 year everything alf says about it is true.
