Annealing is well worth a shot. Might be just the ticket.
No need to spend any money on equipment to anneal. A simple propane torch and something to spin cases in like a Lee lock stud is all you need. Maybe a little bottle of Tempilaq to get you started on how long is long enough and how long is too long. But you'll only need that for a few dozen cases then you'll have it down.
