On this set I had a pair try to backdoor me and used a drainage with a rise to get close before I could see them.

I ALWAYS point my rifle to where I have the least time to react and this was it! Setting up this way has been the death of many coyotes over the years and thats a tip for new guys is
to always remember to point your gun downwind or the direction that you have the least amount of reaction time depending on the topography. If your hunting with a partner make sure the most experienced shooter is pointing to the direction with the least reaction time to engage or downwind as it may be a moving or longer engagement if it hits your scent cone.
