100% humidity in this clip, raining before it started snowing. The movement on my end before I held position was me moving with my Two Vets CF tripod trying to get a little closer, because the shot was at a 60 degree angle. Shot ended up being at 75 yards. Still not as easy as it looks, constantly manipulating focus so that the end shot is clean.

You must have been in slingshot range before he spooked. Thanks Yes I was... I'd say I was about 10 yards when I stopped the ambush.

That was close for sure. Didn’t do him any good to run, though. Great footage on all.

………….a couple weeks ago I watched a coyote come out into my field and skirt the bait pile by at least 30 yards. He never took his eyes off the pile as he made a half circle around it and left going to the east, never once considering going in for a snack. Jim I have had similar happen at my bait site. Numerous times over the years coyotes may get a few bites, leave and not return to the bait for extended periods of time. You would think they would hang around for a while, knowing food is there. They can be full of surprises and uncertainty.

Snows still deep here, I'd say close to 24" average spread, and getting the Coyotes to move sometimes is a quite the chore. Here's some pretty cool footage from last night minus the kill shot. Temp 25F Wind 1-5mph variable Hum 78%

That thing(1280) is awesome! We just went from an ATN night vision to Thermion XG50s. Man is thermal unbeatable when it comes to detection. We have a massive amount of trees, brush, very tall grass etc here in NW MO. The coyote cannon we had on the ATN does a great job of getting good distance, but man it sure can't see through stuff.
My 11 year old and 14 year old just synced up their first double a week or two ago. They were on their mini kill box, 218 yards, pretty heavy snow. 1...2...BOOOOM! WOP!!!WOP!!! The shots sounded like one shot but the wops were a split second apart. I will post a link when ever they get their video production polished up.
