I love about North country. Most hunters stay home when it's well below zero. I suppose they had warm milk & cookies in their warm confines. haha

2x I recall seeing a coyote hunter out when it was -30WC.

Back in the 1970's-1980's the coyote populations were high. I would see in a hunt season 40's-60's coyotes each year. I tried for a percentage of them & just observed the rest.

One Winter I seen in the lower 80's. I tried to kill 20 of them. But only managed to kill 14 of that 20. Most hunters it is all about the hunt & kill numbers. To me it was not only about observing & learning from them. But when a good stalk played out well. I figured I beat their natural abilities. Sight, scenting & hearing.
