I enjoyed that, you have some nice gear also.
I'm surprised you can get even 9 rounds in a mag without it bulging too much. I have one of the original dpms 300 saums and 4 or 5 is about it in a conventional mag. I developed a single stack mag that works great but doesn't hold 9, I think 6 is what I get in it.

So basically it's a combination of the two. Cut off the 308 feed lips, laminate the sides of a 556 mag inside of it. Use the 308 follower after contouring it to fit, and use the 556 spring.
