Coincidentally,I've been pricing trucks also. I asked one dealer why they are not posting the MSRP anymore. He said the prices are going up so fast they can't keep up with it. Gas prices went down a nickel this week so I should be happy?

Just saw where USED vehicles are up on average 31%. Just a couple months ago my buddy had his Tundra totaled by a woman who lost control and crossed over into his lane and hit it. She didn't have insurance, was driving with a suspended license, and it wasn't even her car, anyway--his insurance co. wrote him a check for 11K more than he paid for the truck, which he had bought used several years ago, he was happy!

Happy until he shops for a replacement vehicle.

He already replaced it with a brand new Tundra which wasn't way overpriced. He couldn't find one locally and ended up renting a car in Pa and driving to a dealer in either Indiana or Illinois to buy it and then drove it back, which was still way cheaper that what the local stealerships were asking if they even could even get one.

Bought gas yesterday at $3.60 a gallon. Today crude oil is approaching $90.00 a barrel . It cost almost twice as much to fill my tank now as it did when President Trump was in office. "Let's go Brandon!"

It's almost everything. I just bought a piece of wood door stop trim 3/8"X 1 3/8"X 8' for only $17.55, thought for that price it should at least be gold plated! Yea, let's go Brandon!!!!
It will be interesting to see how BRANDON and crew spin this bit of really bad news. And then they will front the redhead on TV telling us it isn't so bad and we should go get a margarita and do some kick boxing....

Bureau of Labor Statistics report on inflation just came out for January 2022. Inflation has increased every month during the 13 months that Brandon has been in office. Economists are predicting it will only get worse with no letup in sight. So much for the Dems. and their claim of temporary (transitory) and marginal inflation.
Filled-up this morning at $3.76 for regular.

Just saw a video on the news of a trucker standing in front of a diesel pump showing $1,152.05 after filling his semi. He asked a simple question, "What the %)#& are y'all gonna do when your next gallon of milk costs $11.00 ?"

It's Putin's fault now. Nevermind the covid plandemic lockdowns for the last two years or the canceling of the Keystone pipeline among many, many other crisis the left and RINOs keep manufacturing.
They're probably going to drive the country into the ground to the point there is all out total chaos in the streets (Mainly in the blue cities.) like you'd see in cuba or venezuela. It's what communists and globalists do.

Paraphrased comment today from Kenneth Rogoff, Harvard U. Economics Professor:
[The growing risk of a 'perfect storm' where Europe because of the war is going into recession; China because of their version of Covid-19 lock-downs is going into recession and the U.S. because of interest rate hikes are all going into recession. The odds of having a Global Recession are rising by the day.]

Filled-up yesterday. Lowest price for regular gas I could find in town was $4.74 for regular.
Dennis Gartman - Univerity of Akron Endowment says, again I'm paraphrasing,'I expect we will all be throwing-up on our shoes by mid-summer'. He was referring to the dismal performance of the stock-market and the economy under Biden and the Democrats. Anyone planning on retirement soon should rethink their plans.

Joe just broke his own record! Inflation numbers came out this morning and year over year hit 9.1%. Worst inflation since Jimmy Carters presidency,41 years ago. Way to go Brandon!

When the rapidly increasing natural gas prices hit the index, you will see inflation jump above 10%. Regardless of oil prices, also coal prices have tripled because of diesel fuel. This will get much worse, the socialists are trying to bankrupt the whole country.
Lets see, when I got fuel oil last year it was $3.00 a gal. (prepay was $2.55 a gal), just filled up at $4.50 a gal. Coal was slightly under $200 a Ton, this year $385 a Ton. PPL raised rates 38%, Gas is at $4.29 a gal., large eggs went from just over $1.00 to $3.00 a doz., and that is just a few examples. 10% inflation isn't even close to the actual cost of living increases that we all are seeing! FWIW: I have read where the inflation number is calculated/linked to wages rising, NOT the actual cost of living increase, that would explain why it is so low! I stopped at a local gun dealer yesterday and we were discussing how much everything is going up, he told me that that he bought out 3 gun collections just in the last few weeks because the people needed the money. Another tidbit; supposedly 75% of people live paycheck to paycheck, if that's the case and it's now costing an average family 4-500 dollars more a month to live, there is going to be a lot of people who can't make ends meet. It sure looks like they are systematically trying to destroy the middle class, the mega rich can afford these massive price hikes and the poor get everything handed to them, it's the working middle class that's taking the pounding thanks again to the socialist party that's now in office! End of rant!!!

Destroy the middle-class and you will destroy democracy!
David Madland describes the middle-class in the following way: “Being middle class in a middle-class society—where most people have adequate financial resources and stability, but not enough to allow for a life of leisure—fosters attitudes and behaviors that are essential to building a healthy capitalist system. Middle-class parents raise their children to value work and education because they understand their children will be dependent upon work, not capital, for most of their income. They convey to their children the principle that if you work hard within the system and follow the rules, you will get ahead. They pass down the patience necessary for children to pursue an education, career, or entrepreneurial activity, and they have the economic means to sustain that patience and plan for the long term.” (David Madland, Issue #20, Spring 2011)

Right on! Really hits those of us on retirement (fixed) income. Thanks Brandon!

Well,Joe was able to get gas prices down for a couple of months. Not down to where it was when President Trump was in office. Of course Joe lowered prices by raiding the Strategic Oil Reserve. He also had help from Dem. Governors who lowered or suspended their state's gas tax. He shuffled off to the Middle-East to beg OPEC to increase oil production. They poked a finger in his eye by telling the world they will reduce oil production by 2,000,000 barrels per day not raise oil production. Joe's latest plan is to buy the oil from Venezuela. We'll see how that goes. Meanwhile Putin is mobilizing his military, undoubtedly in preparation for another invasion. Sure hope that Oil Reserve gets replenished soon.
Oh,I filled-up yesterday at $3.82 for regular. Prices are going in the wrong direction again.

Filled-up yesterday @ $4.12 for regular. I've been looking desperately for that 'cheap gas' Joe's been bragging he created.
You ain't seen nothin' yet; wait until the day after election....the emergency fuel reserve is getting close to empty, having been robbed to the max prior to the mid-terms, but all good things have to come to an end some day.

I'm afraid you may be right hm, we will see, they are already predicting that gas, diesel, and home heating oil will spike after the midterms, they are also saying that we are down to a 25 day supply of diesel fuel, and home heating oil may need to be rationed here in the NE, sure hope not!!! This absolutely, positively, does not need to be happening, LET'S GO BRANDON! I just read an article where they are selling out of wood stoves here in the NE because fuel oil more than doubled, and coal almost doubled since the Dems. implemented their anti-fossil fuel policy, can't say I blame people for switching over to wood heat so they can afford to heat their homes. Wonder if the Dems. have a plan to put an emissions tax on all chimneys, wouldn't put it past them the way this is heading, again, LETS GO BRANDON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
During the White House press briefing on Wednesday, John Kirby, National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, didn’t answer a question about how to increase the supply of diesel in the United States.
The Biden administration is doing whatever it can to help European people who will face “a long, cold winter,” he said.
This and other major issues facing this country today could be remedied, by reversing all executive orders issued in the first couple of months of this administration. Unfortunately, the cure will take longer than it has to get to this point.
Diesel Market to Stay Tight Into Winter: Chevron Chairman
By Allen Zhong October 29, 2022 Updated: October 31, 2022
The diesel market will stay tight into the winter, Chevron Chairman and CEO Michael Wirth warned.
“Markets are tight right now. Diesel, in particular, as we’ve seen here recently and likely to stay that way through the winter, I think,” he said during the third quarter earnings call.
With the ban on some Russian imports going into effect in the first quarter of 2023, the situation could become worse.
The ban will drive Russian energy products to reach farther markets with increased costs and logistics, he said.
Data collected by the Energy Information Administration (EIA) shows that diesel stockpiles are at their lowest level for October in records that date back to 2008.
The weekly data shows that the United States, as of Oct. 21, has 25.9 days of supply—down from 34.2 days of supply five weeks prior.
National Economic Council Director Brian Deese, a top adviser to President Joe Biden, told Bloomberg News last week that current diesel levels are “unacceptably” low and that “all options are on the table” to increase supplies.
Diesel prices are usually half a dollar higher than gas prices. However, the diesel market seems to have become tighter than the gasoline market since the beginning of this year.
The price difference between diesel and gas increased from about half a dollar to over $1.70 since January. Diesel Playing Role of Gas
Two reasons caused the tight diesel market, Senior Vice President of the American Energy Alliance Dan Kish told The Epoch Times.
Consumers chose to travel less for shopping because of high gas prices, which drove up the demand for diesel-fueled transportation and diesel prices.
“A lot of people got priced out of gasoline or they’re just not driving as much because it’s more expensive. But they still need to get goods and instead of going into the grocery stores to buy things, they have them delivered. That increases demand for diesel,” he said.
Meanwhile, the refining capacity for distillate—including diesel, jet fuel, kerosene, heating oil, and fuel for ships—is dropping because more refineries are closing.
Oil companies are also investing more in biodiesel refining and reassigning their diesel refining capacities.
Kish is also expecting the coming winter to be harsh for Northeasterners who rely on heating oil.
“Winter is going to be very tough, especially for the Northeast,” he warned.
During the White House press briefing on Wednesday, John Kirby, National Security Council coordinator for strategic communications, didn’t answer a question about how to increase the supply of diesel in the United States.
The Biden administration is doing whatever it can to help European people who will face “a long, cold winter,” he said.
