I got the first one with my Thermion 2 XQ38 I got back in the summer. What too hot when I first got it to hunt, and been so busy I am just not getting to it.

I went to the lease to deer hunt this evening and I took the thermal along in addition to deer rig. The hogs didn't show like I thought they would as they have been regular on camera. After dark I climbed down since I didn't know how long before they might show up. As soon as I got down I hear them and turned the thermal on.

I tried to get it recorded, but apparently I still have to learn all the operation as I didn't have anything when I got home.



Was about a 80 pound boar. There were 3 and hit two with one shot. The second rolled around into the brush and I didnt find it. The Thermion is currently on a 300 black out shooting 125 grain Sierra Pro Hunters.

I have a dtech 6.8 spc that will also be used, but I have more of the 300 ammo.

Those Thermion 2's are great quality scopes. I'm still running the old Trail XQ38 which is a tank.

What's your thoughts on the Thermion 2 now that you have had it a spell?
