My 7 yo son harvested a doe with his crossbow in the morning and another in the afternoon. First year out as a mentor hunter. We had some long sits this year, and he got it done in one day. We spent a lot of time practicing and going over shot placement. He heart shot the first doe went 2 feet, and double lunged the second went 40 yards. I’ve took over 70 deer at age 48, but this was better than all of them combined. He’s hooked now !!!

Great job. Taught my two boys to hunt & trap. From September to March I can't expect any work outta them. They're always in the field. I don't mind. The meat they bring home cuts down on grocery bill.
