I was wondering if anyone with a Berger reloading manual could share AR15 load data for this bullet, 52 grain target #22408. I will use a temperature stable powder. I have H322, Varget, H4895, and 8208XBR. I will probably load to magazine length, about 2.258". Thanks in advance for any data you may be able to provide. Stay healthy.

Look this up in my Berger book. fill ratio %

H322 st 22.0 to 24.5 max. 103%

Varget st 23.5 to 26.0 max. 101%

H4895 st 24.0 to 26.6 max. 102%

This is load data for 223 rem. (COAL. 2260)

No 8208 in the book for the 52gr.

I shoot this same bullet in my 22 250AI.
It says target bullet. But the coyotes dont know any difference. On this bullet the cases going to be almost full. The part # on box in Berger reloading book is #22709. That's the only 52gr in 22 cal. Must have changed #.

If u need anything else pm me. I will take a picture sent it too u.

Thank you all!!! I'll put that knowledge to good use and be ready for the coyotes this fall. Might as well try them out. On that part number one may be the varmint and the other the target bullet. Just a difference in the size of the hollow point. Mine have the smaller opening which is why I figured I'd try them. I think Snowshoes uses them in the Great White North forum and he does well with them. If nothing else I will use them in my .222 Remington.

Mine has the tiny opening too. I had to go look at mine. I was wrong. It has same number as yours. Pn 22408 it says FB target 22 cal 52gr . The other number I wrote was out of the book. May be one that there not making anymore. The #22709 I will look it up and see. That number is a package number. And it's for the #22309.

52gr match varmint #22309 G1 BC 0.197.

52gr match target #22408.G1 BC 0.242.

Thank you all for taking the time to provide that information! I appreciate it. I loaded up 10 rounds, 2 different charges of varget and 10 rounds, 2 different charges of H322. We'll see how they shoot

Benchmark for the 52-53 gr bullets.

I shoot them in three different rifles. A 223,22-250 and a 22-250AI. All three shoot very tiny groups. I also use three different powders, CFE 223, Varget and Shooters World Match. Good results in all three rifles.

Jskin22,
Berger manual for their 52 grain bullets is as follows. Benchmark start 22.5, maximum 24.8 grains. COAL 2.260 inches. velocity starting 2981 fps and max is 3269 fps. 24 inch barrel. Good hunting.

Score 3 box's of them for $20 a box at the gunshow this week-end. Same guy had 55gr BlitzKings for $25 and had 2 or 3 sleeves, 500 per sleeve.
