My latest and slowest project. Been tinkering with this for about 6yrs now. 80% lower with RRA parts kit and NM 2 stage trigger. Magpul CTR buttstock and ergo grip. YHM quad rail forearm with Magpul covers, RRA upper receiver, Shilen 9 twist barrel in 17rem, Magpul Pmags and front QD sling attachment. Form 1 suppressor 8" length with stepped cones and spacers for 22CF and under, has threaded end caps and direct thread attachment in 304L stainless. Kies adjustable gas block. ATN 4K 3x-14x in UTG QD rings, QD light attachment, XLR 250 kill light upgraded to 850nm IR bulb with tailcap switch mounted in Velcro on forearm. Coyote tan cerakote and black cerakote on can. Running 25gr. Hornady HP's around 3600fps with H322. Still debugging her but really close to getting a kill with it. Just sighted it in last night with the new scope.

My first AR10 chambered in 243. My heavy log consists of an AR Stoner upper 22” barrel with a 1 in 9 twist, Aero M5 lower, cmc 2.5lb single stage trigger, 10 round P Mag, fluted thread protector, scorpion X2 grip, Warne 20 MOA base, and a Nikon Prostaff 5 3.5x14 40 mm BDC optic. The buttstock I ordered from bushmaster/Remington. It was the stock they used on the 450 bushmaster and for some reason discontinued it. I ordered a Midwest industries Harris bi pod adaptor for it today. I need to get out one of these days and actually pull the trigger on it.

If you're going to shoot upside down like that, you gotta rotate the scope 180 degrees so the BDC reticle is upside up.

Here are my three faves:

20" AR
Mossy MVP Varmit, 24" with Viper 4x16x44
RPR in 6.5 with a Viper HST 66x24x50

THe AR likes 55 Vmax, the Mossy is amazing with 53 Vmax, and the 6.5 loves the 147 ELD Match.

My 2nd 243 upper finally got its own lower. I also switched out the leupold 4.5-14 target optic off my POF to a black optic. The POF has taken alot of yotes so it’s now time to brake the AR10 243’s in. Both 243’s have single stage CMC 2.5 pound single stage triggers and 4.5-15 Nikon Pro staff 5’s with BDC reticles. That reticle style works pretty slick for quick aiming.

The gun on the left is a 22” stainless heavy fluted 22” 243 BCA upper with an Areo M5 lower. I removed the brake. The middle is a 20” BCA 243 upper also with an M5 lower. Both with CMC 2.5 pound triggers and Nikon 4.5-14 BDCs. I’ve only tried 55 grain Nosler ballistic tips and 60 grain Seirra hollow points out of each gun. Both with shoot .3’s with the correct powder charge. I’m sure heavier bullets will do better out of both guns. The POF has a Timney 3 pound trigger and also a Nikon 4.5-14 BDC optic. It also has a delta point hanging off the side of the optic. It will shoot .3’s at 200 yards with a 60 grain Vmax and 25 grains of benchmark. The POF shoots better but should for 5 times the price of one of the complete 243 BCA set ups.



I liked the look of the old target optic on the POF but it was pretty foggy. Old technology glass with a plain old crosshair. I sold it off for 6 bills years back to pay for one complete 243 build and had money left over.
