old folks Seasoned Member Registered: 02/11/12 Posts: 217 Loc: sabine county tx.	I have a small dog that loves to go hunting with me .he is not a decoy dog just my best friend. he often sees things before i do. if a coyote comes to the call and sees the dog what will he do? my dog will be on a leash as he is to old and to small to fight. _________________________ LET THE PIGS RIDE IN THE WAGON!

masshunter Die Hard Member II Registered: 12/10/08 Posts: 1299 Loc: western mass	I wouldn't take a chance, they can come out of nowhere,grab and run,and do you really want to be shooting at the coyote with your dog in his mouth? Our coyotes run 35 to 45 pounds and can carry quite a bit, yours may be smaller. A couple up the road from me had their schnauser taken right before their eyes.

No... He just likes to come along. The dog is a 60lb Chow though. I suppose that could be a different recipe than you are cooking up.
