I had the single shot 243. I feel at half the price the H&R is a lot better. The Henry has a odd and uncomfortable grip, hammer spring is super heavy, trigger pull is unreal, and mine would cock and let the hammer fire while open but every few rounds would lock the hammer while closed so the gun can’t be cocked. Found a few other guys making the same complaints and one of my buddies wanted to deal with the headache of sending it back, breaking warranty to get a under 8# trigger, and whatever else so we traded and now I’ve got a Ruger American 243.
