.5" vs .625" threads

I'm considering buying a tbac ultra 7 6.5mm for everything from 204ruger through 25-06. Most of my rifles are light barrels that can only be threaded .5". I see the standard option is .625. is there a reason I should thread the barrels that can handle it to .625 or have everything threaded .5 if I decide to go down the suppressed road.

The 25 cal will have a .620 muzzle that will leave .125 material between threads and bore. If I ever go up to a 7mm or 30 cal it'd be a heavier barrel and different suppressor, but I doubt I'll ever get anything above 25 that will see enough use to justify the $.

I've got the Ultra 7 6.5 CB mount. Got the CB so I could use it on various barrels. Had barrels threaded 1/2", 9/16" and 5/8". Don't like taking any more off the muzzle than needed.

Buying CB brakes for every barrel sucks though.
