Gonna be hunting new hog land. Man this place is L O A D E D with porkers.
Very thick brush. Opportunities for multiple shots is going to be limited so I am saving my bullets for the big guys.
Please observe the HOLE the Hornday 143 ELD-X punched in this Texas Boar!

Yes I reload. Surprised my most accurate loads are punching the same velocity as box ammo. Only difference is OAL is closer to the lands.

As for ballistic trajectories I haven't had a chance to really push beyond 300 yards using a thermal optic.

EVERY HOG IVE HIT WITH THIS BULLET HAS DIED. I AM CURRENTLY AT 100% RECOVERY SINCE SEPTEMBER USING THE 143GR ELD-X BULLET.
 
Glad to hear the ELD-X in 6.5CM is working! Especially since I will be in Texas next week hunting hogs with a 6.5 CM using the same bullet.
