Good to see some old friends and meet some new ones. Just got back to the house at midnight last night. It will take me a few days to catch up.

Well even if you do I will be spending 3 months in Tucson hunting this and next year. Dec. Jan. Feb. We have a new camper this year to take out. The thing that may slow me down is I get a knee replacement next week and the other one replaced in August. But I have had years of them holding me back so I need to get it taken care of. But we will probably make it to the new secret hunt place too! I enjoy talking to you guys!!

Tucson had a lot of potential and it is unfortunate that the stars could not stay lined up there longer. I know that there is a lot of work involved to relocate the PM Convention, finding suitable facilities, and providing all the info about hunting. I wish the mods/admin the best outcome possible with planning a new location for the next PM Convention.

I would like to know the reason behind the move! I enjoyed Tucson and the drive to get there wasn't to bad (16 hrs). Nevada in September will be 120 degrees in the shade. Other than a few protesters in Tuscon what was the problem that prompted the move?

Hmmm, that's a 33+ hour drive from here...

Be fun to go, if I can make it. Never hunted in that area.

I can't find any info that shows 120 degrees in Elko in Sept. Lows are 40F and highs of 80F. The world has been held there and won't be in 2017. Target rich environment and hunter friendly city. accommodations are less expensive, generally.

Travel distance will be more for some and less for others. Hopefully some of our northern members will be able to make the trip.

We have always held the convention in AZ or NM. Time for a change.

A lot of work goes into planning this event and it is very important as an annual fund raiser to keep the lights on. We would like to see attendance numbers go up. It's a lot of fun and you get to meet some very friendly predator hunters as well as sponsors and professionals from the sport.

Elko looks good, I've been watching the weather and it has been about twenty degrees cooler there than Tucson. I'm already looking into camping and talked to a trapper from Battle Mountian and found out there are some good grouse haunts in the Ruby mountians.

Hmm, bird hunting; mixing a little pleasure with our normal business? smile Sounds like a good time to me.

AWS although you can't hunt sage hens in Nevada without being a resident we have run into quite a few Chukar and Hungarian partridge that are fun to chase around.
