I would like to know the reason behind the move! I enjoyed Tucson and the drive to get there wasn't to bad (16 hrs). Nevada in September will be 120 degrees in the shade. Other than a few protesters in Tuscon what was the problem that prompted the move?
I can't find any info that shows 120 degrees in Elko in Sept. Lows are 40F and highs of 80F. The world has been held there and won't be in 2017. Target rich environment and hunter friendly city. accommodations are less expensive, generally.
Travel distance will be more for some and less for others. Hopefully some of our northern members will be able to make the trip.
We have always held the convention in AZ or NM. Time for a change.
A lot of work goes into planning this event and it is very important as an annual fund raiser to keep the lights on. We would like to see attendance numbers go up. It's a lot of fun and you get to meet some very friendly predator hunters as well as sponsors and professionals from the sport.
