I noticed that the temperatures will be in the low 80's next week in Tucson, will the rattlers be out? Snake chaps?

It was hot last year & I didn't see any. However, when it's warm like that they can come out so it pays to not be careless.

Yes they'll be out if it's been in the 70's or above several days in a row. I caught over 1000 snakes last year.

Maybe, but probably not an issue. Even when they are out this time of year they are SLOW. It is still very cold at night. You might catch one sunning itself but they are not aggressive at all.

I'd suggest a good pair of snake proof pants and that should do you just fine. Protect yourself from snake bites in style, eh?

One thing about rattlesnakes, they are good to eat. Maybe you'll get lucky and get a chance to bite one of them instead of the other way around.

My dog got bit by one in NM three years ago.
