2nd ANNUAL TKO COYOTE CALLING COMPETITION
Winfield, Ks
FEBUARY 27TH 2016

FRIDAY: Feb. 26th Registration starts at 6 PM and mandatory rules meeting will follow.

SATURDAY: Feb. 27th contest begins at 7:03 AM and ends at 6:18 PM.
All teams with coyotes must be checked in at weigh in location by 7:30 PM SHARP on Sat.
Entry Fee for one or two person teams is $100.00 most coyotes win. Side pots (100% payback) include, BIG MALE DOG, SMALL MALE DOG, BIG FEMALE DOG, SMALL FEMALE DOG, and MANGY DOG. Side pots entry fees are $20.00 each and are not mandatory. In the case where no side pot dog is brought in, the pot is forfeited to TKO. (ex. 5 teams enter mangy dog and none bring in a mangy dog).
Team members must hunt together at all times! No spectators. Any hunter under the age of 18 must have a signed release by a parent or legal guardian.
No dogs may be used.
No trapped coyotes. If there is any indication of a coyote that has been snared, foothold trap, or caught in a live trap they will be disqualified.
ATV’s may only be used to transport harvested game and travel into and out of stand locations.
All state hunting laws must be observed. (Which ever state you are hunting in.)
Any game violations will result in disqualification.
Any team caught driving or pushing out coyotes will in disqualification.
All coyotes must be harvested between legal shooting hours.
Giving, exchanging, or accepting coyotes during the hunt will result in disqualification.
The number of coyotes will determine winners.in the event of a tie, the winner will be determined by the weight of the coyote(s).
Teams are responsible for hunting their own land. 10 blocks and 10 ties will be given to each team. If the tie breaks you must use tape to close mouth. All coyotes must have blocks properly placed in mouth. If a team run out of blocks the must call Justin Eastman 620-218-0837 or Brian Mayfield 620-218-4624.
Side pots, must have all coyote intact including guts.
If a team has a questionable coyote(s), they will have the right to explain why BUT ONLY IN FRONT OF ALL THE CONTESTANTS.
EVERY TEAM IS RESPONSIBLE FOR DISPOSAL OF THERE COYOTES
You must be present to win placing’s. If not present you will forfeit earnings and money will be given to next placed team.
The rules are inconclusive and additional rules may be discussed at Friday night’s registration.

do you have to be invited to this ? or can you just show up and register i have never done a competition and am still a green horn to this type of hunting... but i have a friend who lives in kansas and it would be a great excuse to get together

I also have a friend in Kansas that's only about an hour from Winfield. I think we may try to get together and hunt this.
How many teams did you have last year and what was the winning count?
Not that it matters, just curious though.
