We have some exciting changes to the Egg Shoot!

Scott and his crew from Specialized Dynamics are running the shoot along with lots of extras.

Egg Shoot

Same format as previous years with eggs being at 150 yards.

Rules are posted at the bottom of page.

Trohies will be awarded 1st through 3rd place
Ist place will also be awarded a fantastic Specialized Dynamics AR15 rifle.

Youth Egg Shoot

We have added a Youth Egg shoot this year.
They will shoot eggs at 50 yards from a bench.
Each youth will be supervised by an adult while shooting
Trophies will be awarded 1st through 3rd place

Past Egg Shoot winners will have have a chance to compete against other previous winners.

Same rules will apply as the Egg Shoot

There will be a traveling trophy awarded to the winner along with a great donation from FoxPro

The Specialized Dynamics Cup

The SD Cup will be a long range shoot. We will have 5 targets set up at unknown distances, winning time(shortest) with all 5 hits will be deemed the champion and we'll have a trophy and a prize for that person. It will be $10 a run and a competitor can shoot it as many times as he wishes.


The Rules:

2014 Egg Shoot


Contestants will be comprised of registered members of Predator Masters that are participants of the Annual hunt during which the Egg Shoot will be held. The Egg shoot will be on the Saturday of the annual hunt.

Past 1st. Place winners will not be eligible for the competition.

This is what is allowed.

1. A rifle weighing no more than 13 lbs complete with any attachments used at the firing line and his ammo. The scope will be limited to a max setting of 15 power while on the line.

2. A shooting stool, pad, or similar device that would be considered customary in a calling stand application.

3. A set of shooting sticks that are hinged, 2 legs, not attached to the rifle, and are customary for a calling stand application.

4. Buttstock of rifle will rest against the shooters shoulder only.No support from the backrest of chair will be allowed.

5. If you use a chair to sit on and it has an armrest your arms are not allowed to wrap around or rest on chair as extra support.

6. Slings will be allowed but they will not be used to lash your shooting sticks to your gun.

7. Your own spotter if so desired.(there was more than enough spotting scopes at the shoot to acquire a spotter for each lane. Each shooter should have his own guy spotting for him. This will cut down on a lot of confusion.


All decisions made by Range Master the day of the shoot are final.


The format will be as follows.

For the first 3 rounds you will be shooting with up to 5 other shooters. Mags may be loaded but the action can not be closed till the fire command is given The clock will start at the fire command.



All shots will be taken at a distance of 150 yards. Your first time to the line you will have 5 minutes to fire 5 shots. If the egg is broke in your lane at the end of the time limit, you will advance to the second round.

In the second round you will have 1 1/2 minutes to fire 3 shots. If the egg breaks in your lane you will advance to the third round.

In the third round you will have 30 seconds to fire one shot. If the egg is broke in your lane you advance to a shootoff.

Shoot off rules.

Each shooter be allowed one shot firing in rotation. You will have 30 seconds to take the shot. This is an elimination shootoff.
 
Here is the first of many pictures of the egg shoot. This round had the first egg hit. We had cross winds of upto about 25 mph that day.
