Sounds like you've been trying to register that name again. You just need to reset the password

I have been trying to get in using my screen name yoteblaster but it doesn’t allow me sign in. Tried resetting my password but it doesn’t recognize my email address I updated prior to the new system starting.

I updated mine too, but it reverted back to my old address during migration. Contact Stu w/original name and new address and he'll send you a temporary password to allow you to access old account.
