It would really be nice to know the exact destination of all the tanks and personnel carriers...Just watching a train go by didn't excite me too much...Were these coming back from a different country, or heading out???
The Air Force Base to which he refers in that 3rd video, isn't an Air Force Base. I drive by that location weekly, about 3 - 4 months out of the year, for the last 6 years or so. Been driving by it less frequently, a whole lot longer than that!
That one's an industrial park, as cause for the containers lined up there, and the railroad tracks/cars. I honestly don't believe the park's even secured... Have never seen a fence, no guards, nothing out there to keep anyone out. Golf course off to the east, with club house and a Military Museum in there next to the highway, not sure what all is back in there.
If you
look at the current Google satellite image and zoom all the way in, names of all the assorted businesses in the industrial park pop up. And, if you look closely at the runway, the vehicles that he was suggesting were UN Vehicles, that were mysteriously parked there just recently, were in fact parked there on those runways long enough that the asphalt faded around them. As in MANY, MANY MOONS!! My guess would be they were Navy Surplus Vehicles, and when scrap prices went ballistic back about 2010, they sent them all to the scrap yard.
As for the remainder of what's going on out there, the outfit immediately NE of the Industrial Park works on huge cranes and drag lines, small ship yard immediately to the north, where all the docks run out into the St. Johns River works on smaller cargo ships, fishing and shrimping trawlers, barges, and a few tugs. There's a small cruise/casino ship that runs out of the port immediately north of there too, does party runs off the coast on the weekends.
Camp Blanding - National Guard Base 20 miles or so due West of the location in the video, (immediately east of Kingsley Lake), would be a much more secure location to hide UN Vehicles, if they were going too hide them. Blanding is in a rather remote location, and is more centrally located to the population centers in the area.
If I'm not mistaken, the location in the video was at one time an Air National Guard Base, but that was SEVERAL decades ago! As in, before my time, back in the 1950s. Lived just up the river, across from NAS Jax for a few years mid-60s. Maternal grandparents had a cabin on the river right around the bend from this location to the SE at Colee Cove, back there in the early/mid 60s also. And, my paternal grandparents built a house directly across the river, in the mid-70s.
