We can take a deep breath,but we can't drop our guard. This fight is not over and may be just a rope A dope. Got to watch the counter attack and start working it as soon as possible. I say we push them. We gave more than enough money to defeat these bills and so fourth.Lets push them for more rights of we the people. They got to be punished for that crap they been trying. Lets take things from them that truly belong to us.

Do not fall for the rope-a-dope. They are masters of illusion. They already had this planned with contingencies. If A fails, go to B. If B fails, go to C. That witch is always a threat to slip it back in some place else, just waiting for the perfect opportunity. They plan for decades, where we just plan for the weekend. We MUST be vigilante. We have a bad habit of being complacent. All we have done at this point is slowed their forward advancement, we have not stopped it, we have not knocked them on their heels at all. We need to sweep their legs out and step on their throat! This is not a game, we are in a fight for our rights, liberty, and our very survival! If you are wondering where to begin, start by educating yourself. Read what our founding fathers faced and what they did. They faced greater odds with far more at stake with far less resources than we have today! Once you educate yourself, then pass it on! Educate others, especially the young (kids, teens and young adults) and women. Your goal is not the person who has already made up their mind, but those that have no opinion, are on the fence and/or just don't know the facts. Don't allow lies to go unchallenged. When faced with facts and the truth, the anti's show their true colors, they are cowards at heart. We need to all stand together, or surely we will all hang separately!

I believe they will try to get things through by doing it on several fronts at the same time. One way is they will bury new gun laws inside other bills that are unrelated. They won't give up on their agenda, a key part of which is to disarm us.

That is a practice that should be outlawed.

Agreed. That was the purpose of the Line Item Veto but it's ancient history as well.

I think an assault weapon bill would have hampered the 2014 elections for the Democrats, now they can say "Look we did not take away any of your guns" They will hammer the voters with this in 2014 and bring up all of the sequester crap and blame it in on the Republicans.

Be prepared to help fund candidates in 2014, doesn't matter what state, because the Republicans will have a tough row to hoe and need lost of money to keep the seats they have and try to win more.

I'm thinking it's already too late to cover their @ss, the battle that has been staged has already cost them countless votes. They will lose the Senate next year too. Then maybe Obama will be able to accomplish something with the Republicans in full control. UNLESS... he's arrogant and ignorant enough to think that he can head butt with both houses of congress and win.

I'm with Rocky, these bastards have tipped their hand... the gig is up. It's pretty easy to see what's happened here in Colorado, if the dems had control of both houses of congress now like they did just a few short years ago.... We'd be so screwed right now.

I also don't think this sequester thing is going to stick to the GOP much if at all. This country has a serious debit problem and just about everyone knows it except for Obama and his ilk. My democrat neighbor even expresses disgust over it.

Many people that I know, who are self proclaimed liberals, are starting to wake up. I think we are at the tipping point right now. If enough people wake up soon enough, it won't hurt as much. Make no doubt about it though, the hurt is coming.

Absolutely... I don't think this thing is just going to turn around and get better, I think we've got a few years to go before the pendulum swings all the way and begins its travel back to a right minded and prosperous state of existence in this country. The problem being there are entirely too many folks living off the government tit, and the only way the right will regain control of power and take the liberal morons out that are ruining this country for the working class, is if all of the working class gets behind them.

Since there are a whole bunch of ignorant working class folks; those that believe everything they hear out of the biased media (more accurately read "leftwing socialist propaganda") machine, one has to assume that's going to be difficult to accomplish as well. We not only have to overthrow the liberal government, we also have to overthrow the liberal propogandists to even begin to turn this thing around. Those extra taxes coming out of the dimwitted's paychecks as soon as Obamacare kicked in woke a great many of them up. When they file their taxes next year, and confront that $2000 penalty for not having insurance, on top of the tax increases they've already seen, I think we'll see something resembling nuclear reaction as they all implode upon facing the reality their party and the media have lied to them repeatedly and they fell neck deep in it, then they'll mushroom into conservative thinking.

We're seeing a great deal of that already, we conservatives are just as guilty. We've become too complacent, we have simply set back and let things go in government, complained when they screwed up, but only to ourselves and each other. Since the Obama Gun Grab hit the left's propaganda machine, we've seen a great many people making the time to let our government know what a [beeep] job they're doing, and not just on the issue of the gun grab. There have been a whole lot of issues that they've seen a whole lot of e-mails and petitions about. And, that's what it's going to take to right this thing. We have got to get involved and let them know we are aware of what's going on. If left to simply run and play as they please, much like children, they will get neck deep in trouble, and they will have to be reined in and disciplined.
