I found this knife in the 24HCF classifieds. It was at a very attractive price, so I snagged it up! This was Blades Magazine 'Knife of the Year' in 2000. Very nice Cocobolo scales, and I'm growing to like the blade design. 420J2 stainless frame and a VG-10 Stainless blade. The blade on this swings like butter. It's so danged smooth. And the thing is carried in a nice little leather sheath with a pocket clip. I'm considering adding a pocket clip using the pivot pin screw. I prefer to carry my knife in my back pocket, but I don't know if I dare carry such a fancy thing!

It's rather sleek, as seen here compared to a Bic lighter.

The Wharnie blade makes this a unique and probably very useful EDC "gentleman's folder." Nice frame locker!

I wasn't to sure on it either, Charlie. But the price was great and it is growing on me. The box and all is a nice touch.

The blade appears to have the factory edge. Very sharp! And I can tell its a good steel choice.

The frame lock is very solid. But it is also very smooth into and out of lock. There are Teflon washers between the blade and frame. But there is absolutely zero wobble in the blade, at any point. Especially when locked.

I'm still undecided if its trade fodder or a keeper, for me.

Serrated blades are ok by me. I just prefer a standard edge. And I also usually like a more robust knife. Don't get me wrong, this thing is real nice. I just don't know where it fits in a rough and tumble lifestyle.

I'm with you, I like a plain edge best. I thought it sort of unusual to see that serrated edge on a William Henry the company which is mostly noted for "gentleman's knives." I usually think of serrated edges with hard use more sturdy type knives. Not to take away from yours, it is a very nice knife, and that edge may be more useful than I imagine on a EDC gentleman's knife. Congrat's again on a unique and well done knife.
