run time and brightness

with any of the lights that run 18650 batteries what is the best way to get both. 2 CR123 or 2 18650 w/ ext. what are the voltages and current flows and can you harm the LED

As long as the voltage is the same higher mah (milliamp hours) the longer the run time and stzble current flow. I run 4000 mah on all of my lights

Just because it says 4000mah don't believe it. This also addresses the inflated lumen claims seen all over the internet.

2nd what Pmack says. I have a couple "4000" Ultrafires and they have less runtime than my panasonic 2400's.
