Zeiss 3-9x Diavari...

I'm looking at getting a rifle that has a Zeiss Diavari 3-9x, that is way less magnification than I normally use, but it's on a Steyr .222 that will be my night time coyote/Bobcat rig, so I figure that's perfect as the shots will mostly be under 125 yards...

All these years I've never had a Zeiss, Swarovski but no Zeiss. Anybody use these to where they can say how they might compare to something like an Elite 4200?

Anybody use these things or were they just too pricey for the 3-9x?

My take on 3-9x scopes is that the difference in optic quality is far less noticeable than in 6-24x and 8-32x where the higher power is a huge difference as you get into better scopes.

Zeiss Diavari scopes are very nice. If the price is low buy rifle and save the scope for a different rifle. The Diavari is close to the Swarovski glass. The Elite 4200 are okay but not in the same class scopes. The 3X9 would be fine out to 200yds. I shoot 6X most of the time out to 150yds. I do not like to cut my field of view down like 9X will.
