I got a couple boxes of these the other day. I tried to pattern them in my stoeger m2000. The firing pin did not strike the primer hard enough to discharge it. I thought there was something wrong with the gun. What I figured out was the brass on some of the shells were tapered and not letting the action close completely. This was on about 2 out of 5 in the box. Anyone else had a similar problem? The gun shoots everything else perfect.

The action looked and felt completely closed, but apparently it was just enough not to fire. I am going to take a pic of the dented primer and send it to Remington. I have two more boxes now and they seem to be fine. Maybe they had a bad lot.

I've seen this in cheap target rounds some times, did you try them a second time? My Mossberg hated Remington traps loads. Often barely denting the primer, when chambered and squeezed the trigger 2nd time they fired. I only ran in to this with those rounds. I switched to Winchester and never had a problem again
