Non-resident general hunting licenses for Arizona are $113.50. That will cover all predators. For cougars you'll need a $10.00 tag.

SWNMHUNTER,
Part of what TONT T said is correct. An annual non-resident hunting licence, Class G, is $113.50. However a 3 day non-resident hunting license, Class H, is $51.50, a little easier on the pocket book and good for predators. However a non-resident lion tag is $183.00. I hope this clarifies things a bit.
In looking a little closer the water gets a little mirkey. The Class H is not valid for big game which the lion is classified so maybe, I'm not sure, you may have to buy the Class G license to take lion. I don't know where you would be able to get these in Benson, sorry. Call AG&FD 602-942-3000 for clarification.
Bill

Also, was wondering if anyone from SoCal, San Diego county members, are thinking of attending the hunt in Arizona in February? I would like to hook up with someone for the drive over & hotel etc.

Hi all FWIW my brother (Wild Bill)and I will be at the doings in Benson. I had some surgery on my foot scheduled for the middle of Jan but the Dr rescheduled it for the middle of Feb ( too bad I get to go hunting for coyotes in Arizona again). One question... is HornetFan from Globe going to be at the doings? If you read this Jeff, EMail me a quick note. Bill and I would like to hookup with you again for some yak, yak, yak and maybe some coyote blasting. I promise you won't have to do all the calling this time and my 6mm has been trained to hit what it's pointed at since last hunt.

Huachuca and work in the Sierra Vista Mall (Army Recruiter)<does that explain the no time part? Would like to go on the one in Feb.

You fellas are in for a treat.Hunting has been great around the Benson area, Cascabel rd. north out of Pomerene has been good along river. The closer you get to Wilcox, action thins out.head towards Winkleman and Reddington pass area, been hot for cats too. A sleeper spot may be north towards happy valley, some good tracts of state trust land near foot of rincons, I hammered them couple days ago there, great spot.

ChileRojo, It's funny you mentioned that Road I was just out their looking around for a new hunting spot. All along the river where I wanted to hunt was all private property. Are you hunting on private land or are you just not going down by the river.

You can contact me at my email address or call civilian pay on base....
Dogonner have not heard from Hornet. Hope to still hear and see you at the hunt.
Destoyer I belive that he might be talking about the east side of the river...
but I could be mistaken too....
I know that there is allot of dogs and cats out there to the north of Benson...
Should be great hunting. Be even better if it would cool off a bit too...
See you all at the hunt....
