I second the idea of Nov 9-11. As a guvment cheeser, that would be an excellent weekend for me to make it over. It would fit in nicely with my proposed deer hunt (picture me crossing my fingers for the draw) too.

The moon is at a quarter on the 9th, not too bad. Loincloths will be a bit skimpy for November, as mornings could be a bit brisk for that much exposure. And Encore, even SKINNY white guys can produce quite the glare!

Firearms and hunting gear are still allowed on airlines. Each airline has a little different regulations, so check their websites for details.

Boy, I'm getting excited!

I've beenlooking around for camping areas with facilities. So far I've struck out. There are some facilities in Apache Junction but that is way to far to go. I'm still looking. Othere may also be looking.

I'd imagine that some are close enough to commute daily, like from Phoenix or Tuscon... What's a couple of hours between friends??

Lots of hotels available. Try a google search for Globe Arizona, you'll get much information.

Encore ? You wouldn't be talking about Budget Inns and Suites would ya? If you go to Globe , Az. and you value having a good time and getting some decent sleep and waking up to having electricity. Don't stay at Budget Inns and Suites lol. The elecrticity went out and we went and told the managemnet. I only found 3 or 4 hotels in Globe (like I need to stay at a 4 star deal).
With the PM hunt, are there any shenanigans planned? Like a pin the tail on Hillary, Rosie Pin~atas, Jab erschiessen with red-hot pokers for not joining the NRA... or sitting back, chillin' with a big ol' glass of Lemonade. Some of the places have efficiency apts for just about the same price as a reg. room.

I'd hate to be out of the loop on all of these cool things going on; if I can make the trip. I didn't get a response from Queeny, yet. LOL

Also, are there any guys going that are planning to attend Church on Sunday? Realizing that it's not everyday to participate in a PM hunt, I still feel like I need that spiritual recharge every week... Feel free to reply here, or email me...

There's a pretty nice little campground up in Wheatfields (at least there was a few years back when I worked at Cyprus). Don't remember the name and don't know whether they're still in business. As I recall, they had about 20-25 spaces, some on long term lease, but others for overnighters. That might be one option, it's only what - 12 to 15 miles from Globe? That's about all I remember from my short stay.

Are there any camping facilities at the lake(s)? We snuck in a little fishing, but never made it to the more developed areas.

You could always dry camp it in the desert, but the other hunters might mistake YOU for a coyote by the last day of the hunt lol.
