Why'd I buy this thing???

Anybody know what this is, specifically?

Carbon steel blade. Reads: True edge. Ontario Knife Co. Made in USA. Warranted.

The brass lanyard hole is not original, I put it there last night.

The front (shorter edge on the end) has an edge on it also.....

That's the only one with that style handle. The Cotton Sampling has similar lines, but the handle is different on that one.

I guess maybe I shouldn't have said what brand it was. Kinda gave it away.

This thing seems like it could have multiple uses. I may even hang it on my grill. Cutting, chopping, scraping, maybe even flipping burgers or steaks. Would be a really good candidate to reshape into just about any blade configuration you like also.

It would be really cool to put a saw on back or serrations on straight part of blade just in front of handle, and then double the thickness of it.......
