My good friend John from EOTech has always wanted to kill a bobcat. For some reason we just haven't ever been able to get it done. We sat out to call one in yesterday, but just weren't having any luck. We had been sitting at one spot for ab...
out 20 minutes and were just about to give up. I told John this was the first place I was ever able to call in a hog and we should try it before moving on {I think John thought I was just messin with'em}. I switched the call to hog sounds and in minutes we had several hogs charging the call. One hog could smell me on the call as he stuck his nose to it and backed away. Another ran in and John shot it. We kept calling and two more came back in and he got another one. here is a series of Photos that were taken from video of them coming to the call. Be sure and check'em out.

By the way, what sounds do you find are effective for calling hogs? There are quite a few people interested in calling hogs. We need all the help we can get.

a sow protection sound and breeding sounds are best. squeals only as a last resort.

Sorry I haven't been around much. I don't have much time for all the forums. I do update my facebook often. I try to hit the forums once a month and give an overview of what we've been killin'.
thanks for your interest.

I was using a foxpro and some foxpro sounds. A grunt tube works also. I use a Haydels. Problem is if you dont already know how to successfully locate and kill hogs it wont help much. I call areas I can't get into without getting busted. Places hogs feel comfortable staying in during the day.
