whats involved in a rebarrel 16" to 20"

I have a dpms sweet sixteen and as sweet as it is for calling, I'd really like a longer barrel for varminting. What does it take as far as taking it from a carbine gas block to what...a midlength gas block? Or is it more complicated?
 
Almost all 20"s will use a rifle length gas system. You'll most likely need a barrel, rifle length gas tube, and rifle length FF tube.
 
All u need is a barrel, gas tube and block to match. Also a vice block they run around 50$ a good armorers tool and torque wrench. Other than the tools its easy to do.
 
If the barrel OD at the gas block is the same on both barrels, you can swap it over.

If not, you'll need one to match the 20" (of course).
Rifle-length gas tube and a longer FF tube and you should be good to go.
