Got Sage Rats ?

Tim,

Thanks for the pictures of your spotting rig. I'm in the process of buying a small, point and shoot camera. I'm heading to SD next week on Wednesday for a snow goose hunt till Sunday, so I need to get on the ball and find something I like by this weekend.

Still debating on shipping, or flying with my rifles...

Another travel option is to fly into Redmond, Oregon. You can then pick out a number of different routes for the drive to Burns. Most of the way there you can have your coyote rifle at the ready. And, depending on the time of year, I would not hesitate to throw in my trout rod.

If you are in a hurry, the drive to Burns can be as short as two hours. If you want to sight see, which is a better option, it will take about four hours. Real good chance of seeing deer, elk and antelope. If you haven't been to Oregon before, I would take the road from Redmond to John Day and then south to Burns through the Izee country. That will take you through the Ochocos and the Strawberries.
