I attended the 2012 Predator Masters Hunt & Convention which was my first and will not be my last!!!

I would like to thank Jeff, 220_Swift, Kerry Carver, REB8600, Old Turtle, and anyone else that had their hands in organizing and making this possible. You guys did a great job and I had a blast. It was nice putting faces to the names and meeting some great new people.

I would also like to thank DevilDog for hosting me and letting me be a dog hog for 3 days!

So, how hard is it to find a place to hunt while there. I understand that there are many many acres of pulic hunting all around there, but with so many hunters how do you know where to go?? This is the only thing that has kept me from coming to the hunt. Do alot of first timers try to hook up with someone that has gone before to kinda show them the ropes??

You can get a map or my favorite is to have a GPS.

We have two sponsors of PM that offer a card for your GPS that shows all of the BLM and state land.Works great!!!!!!Just drive until it looks like a good spot and if it shows up as BLM stop and hunt it.

We also have a Hook up Thread every year that lets you hunt with some one that is familiar with the area.

You can call as close to town as you like or if you want to drive for hours and hunt you can do that too.

We went down not knowing anything about the area and had planned on doing more exploring than anything else. We would go out for hours in a couple of different areas, and not see another soul. There is a lot of country down there!

It was my first time at the convention and had a great time. Hunted Friday with my wife and we called in 5 coyotes. This was our first time in the area.
As Tony said a lot of country and a lot of coyotes.
