Puppy caught her first bird last night!!!!

Last night we ere sitting on the couch and my new English Setter pupy came in with something in her mouth. I told Storm to drop it and lo and behold it was a dead(but still warm) house wren!!!!. She had to have caught it she has been stalking them for weeks! She is only 14 weeks old and has her first bird. The E.S she is replacing didn't get her first bird untill she was 8 months old. I may try to start her retrieving dove with me this sept. Jon
 
WoW! Jon I cannot wate till Sept. she is going to get our doves, cause I am sure tired of all the walking.

That's wonderful Jon. Sounds like your gonna have a good replacement dog there.

Sounds like Jason is just as happy as you are.

It is very difficult to see a dog pass it's good working years. By the way Jon discribed Sam in PC chat awhile ago, it sounds as though this puppy has some real big paws to fill.

Congrat's to your pup!! There's nothing like a pups first bird. You sound like a proud dad. I get to go pick-up my new pup tomorrow. I can't wait to sart working with a pup again.
