I'm going with a few things in mind.

1. To get help with my calling. I pretty much suck at it.
Then I'll need to adapt what I learn there for hunting in
the thick woods here. If it means buying a foxpro or whatever
while in NM, so be it.

2. Meet some folks from this group.

3. Check out the vendors area

4. Eat

5. Relax and enjoy. This will be my 1st vacation in years.

6. Eat

I like meeting the members. I also like getting away from here and forgetting about work.

Well, some folks might be surprised by me.
I'm an old hippie and generally look like an old hippie.
But I have an important biz meeting in a week so I got my
hair cut. Pony tail is gone and you can even see my ears.
Somewheres around 18 inches of hair came off.

I'm so clean cut looking I'm fighting off the urge to vomit.

It was kind of funny when I got it cut.
Theres no barber shop around so men go to the beauty shop.
Well, the shop was just full of little old ladies when I was
there. They made all sorts of comments in fun. After my
hair was cut and I was getting ready to leave, 1 of the old
ladies commented that I didn't look nearly as scary now.

Needless to say my wifes jaw dropped when I got home.

But between now and Feb, some of the hair will grow back and
I can get back to scaring little old ladies.

Duuuuude. You're killin' me. LOL!

I'd be going for all of the above, but this year it looks like I'm going to miss it. With the job change & move, no vacation days and my house hasn't sold yet. Can't plan on anything until I get that monkey off my back.

All this Mexican food talk got to me also.
So when we went to the neighboring town to close on some property
we bought, we stopped at the local Mexican place and had lunch.
It was good as usual but not great. I need some great.

Looking forward to meeting folks I've talked/argued with on the sight. Hope to do a little hunting. Of course the Egg Shoot. It will fun to see that country I've never been to the SW. Hope someone will want to partner up for some hunting(I'm a non-smoker and don't drink till the guns are put away).

Going to hook up with my wife there also, she left for the SW in Oct and I've been hunting since Oct. We're going to meet in Demming or Las Cruses in Feb.

My wife says it is 40-50 during the day and down to 20 in the evenings, does that sound about right.

The temps sound about right.Two years ago I think it was getting warmer than that during the day but last year it stayed pretty cool during the day.

Last year they had quite a bit of freezing in the area.

Because my wife let's me go......

Well as new as I am to PM and Yote hunting I was not going to go.
But I'm thinking just a chance to meet all you good folks and learn from you is likely all that my boy and I need to convince us to register and go!
