As you probably know, this year we changed the process a little and required that scholarship applicants submit an essay. Each essay was stripped of identifying features and posted in a special "scholarship committee" forum. Each of the seven members of the scholarship committee then "graded" each essay (0-100%) and the scores were then added up.

Thanks first of all to all who submitted essays for consideration. All of the essays submitted were worthy, and if your essay was not one of those chosen, please try again next year.

Next, thanks go to those members who were kind enough to serve on this year's scholarship committee with me. They did a very professional job. Thank you azmastablasta, HunterBear71, 2muchgun, Rocky1, Rim Runner, and CatShooter. Job well done gentlemen.



Last year we started The Danny Batastini Memorial Scholarship and we will continue the tradition this year.


The $1000 Danny Batastini Memorial Scholarship for 2011 is awarded to Joseph Bishop (Jeepdude1987)


This year we are starting a new scholarship, The Raegan South Memorial Scholarship. Many here knew her either in person or as the young huntress from Byron's videos. While she is with God now, we want to keep the memory of this brave young lady alive here.


The $1000 The Raegan South Memorial Scholarship for 2011 is awarded to Kyle Carter (AZDesertAddict)


In addition we are still awarding our regular Predator Masters scholarships.


$500 Predator Master Scholarships are awarded to Devin Ramsey (daughter of hntr4life), and Marc Milkovich (son of scottmilk9)


Congratulations to all of the scholarship recipients, and as they say, the check is in the mail.

Any chance (with the candidates permission of course) the essays could be posted? I'm interested in reading over them!

I just noticed that I was awarded the Raegan South Memorial scholarship! Thank you predator masters for investing in me and my future. I had the opportunity to read about Raegan and the character and fight that she had and it makes you realize the simple things in life that we take for granted. It inspires me to work harder to show my gratitude for the things I've been blessed with in memory of those that didn't have the same opportunities. I really appreciate the scholarship and am grateful for the needed support to allow me to pursue my passion. Thanks again!

I just read this, and want to say I am very grateful for the scholarship. I will put it to use in acquiring books and other supplies for this semester as well as pay off that part of my tuition that hasn't already been covered. If there is anything left after that it will go to fixing my personal vehicle so that I will have a means of transportation that won't have to go off to work on occasion leaving me to juggle vehicles which is a problem with the current vehicle I drive, a family construction company truck.

Thank you for the scholarship it will be helpful while studying to get my degree in Animal Science & Industry with a Pre-Vet option. I will graduate in May from Kansas State University. I will be applying to vet school in the fall. Once again thank you.
