.243 with 70 & 85 gr. bullets

I've never shot any deer with the 87Vmax. But I have with the 75Vmax, and it works.

I'm at about a 1MOA, repeatable, POI shift between the 75's and 90's. I can live with that.

any luck with 75 and 85 gr bullets,with h380 or h4895
i got about an inch@100 with the h380/85gr bullet
have tried the h4895 yet
waiting on 75 v-max to get here

bob, I've personally never tried H380 or H4895 in anything. I'm a big fan of Alliant's Reloder series of powder and one of them is usually the first thing I reach for.

Right now I am working up a load for my .243 using H4895 & a 85gr Sierra BT. I am trying to shrink my 1"MOA but so far, its a MOA shooter..

with h380 and 85gr sierra hpbt,i am getting .75 at 100yds
havent tried it with h4895 yet.

I'm going to try some H4350 with the 75 V-MAX next probably, but for the 80 SBT (which I've been using with about 39.8 of IMR 4064), and maybe even the 85 Sierra GK (HPBT) I'm real tempted now to try RL-19. We killed 2 g-hogs with the RL-19/70gr Nosler load the other evening, longest one was 157.5 yards which isn't much. Missed one at 327.5 that I really wanted - bad! My fault though, not the gun's.
