Yukon spotting scope

Yep, I have the 20x50, it is a cheap($70) spotting scope, made by Sirir, I have had it out a couple of times, and it serve the purpose, not the best glass,(my B&L is better$230)but for the money it is worth it, it is light weight and fits well in my pack, I can read 4" lettering very clearly at 3/4 of a mile and put antlers on a fork horn further then that. So it works for me. I would buy another, but the 100x is just way to much magnification for most field applications, and it cost 4x what the 20x50 does, something to keep in mind. For 200 to 300 dollars(100x)I think you could do better.

Howler is absolutely right, temps in the sixties will generally mandate 30x or less. One thing I didn't mention is the strange markings on this Russian made scope, power ring is marked in 20-26-32-50x markings, not at all like most spotting scopes. But still not a bad value for the 20x-50x-50mm, but if the glass is not alot better I think the 100x is overpriced.
