Fox Fur damage

This will be my first time fox hunting with a 223 .I purchased a couple boxes of Hornady 55 grain v-max. Is this bullet type ok for red fox ? What is your favorite bullet for fox? Thanks
 
You could see some big holes. I used fmjbt from Sierras when we had fox before the mange. I have heard a Barnes bullet will not exit a jackrabbit, that sounds good for fox.
 
Vmax is pretty rough on a fox. Prretty much anything coming out of a .223 is. If it were me, I would stick to a heavy softpoint and try my hardest to stay away from bone.
