Just wanted to make a post here on rolling and freezing raw furs. DON'T DO IT! when a fur gets rolled there are many layers of good insulation wrapped around the middle of the roll. this fur in the middle will take days to freeze even in the coldest freezer.instead fold the skin a few times, this will let the skin freeze more evenly or at the same time. also remember that the fur will at some point need to be thawed. while thawing the outer lawer will thaw and the inside will still be frozen, while we wait for the inside to thaw the already thawed outside will be at risk of bacteria. another point never put a warm fur in a plastic bag, you will lock the warmth in. always cool hides before FOLDING, PUTTING IN PLASTIC AND FREEZING.
