Get some fresh whole jalapenos. Cut the stem end open 7 remove all the seed.

Buy some large shrimp, big enough so a single shrimp fills the pepper. Peel the shrimp & stuff it inside the pepper.

Wrap with bacon, hold in place with toothpicks.

Cook on the grill. Enjoy.

Stu,, Why would you want to nullify the flavor of those peppers???
I've had them that way and it really cuts down on the natural flavor...and, IMHO, cream cheese always makes my Dos Equis XX taste funny...
 
I make something similar called Atomic Buffalo Turds. Half the jalepeno, fill with cream cheese, add a little smokie, wrap with bacon and bake or grill. You won't regret the cream cheese.
 
We use crab meat in w/ the cream cheese, comes out pretty well. Make sure to drain the crab, either lump or in can. Liquid makes the pepper too wet.

Do that and a sprinkle of Old Bay on the shrimp. Yum!
 
Think I'll wrap a bit of Asedero cheese around a venison backstrap strip and give the shrimp to a fisherman to use for bait. (I don't even allow shrimp on my boat.
