Just in case someone is looking for some more data.I loaded some of the new IMR XBR8308 just to check it out in the 6X45mm.
Data: 25.5gr /68gr Euber bullet/CCI BR4 primer/2853fps
Accuracy was good two 4 shot groups at 100yds measured .715 and .548 and based on looks of primer load was warm but not max....in MY gun.

Since there seems to be a lot of interest in 6X45mm uppers in the AR forum I will make this a sticky for a while and see if it merits it or not.

I have some 68 grain Rubrights (8s) on the way. I can't wait to give them a try. If my addiction keeps up, I may invest in a Niemi die set in 6mm. I know where a used rebated boat-tail set is, relatively cheap.

Thanks for the data. I'm in the process of rebarreling my savage to 6x45.

Vahunter,

I've had the same thoughts, of rebarreling my Stevens 200 to 6x45. What barrel are you using?

I ordered one from Shilen last week. 18" with a 1in10 twist. $345.00 plus $12.00 shipping. The only bad thing is the 26 week wait for delivery. But from what I hear Shilen barrels are worth the wait.

I now have two Shilen barrels on Savage actions. One was transducer cut and one was normal. They are both 26" straight taper to .875" at the muzzle. The barrel quality is quite good, and they delivered much quicker than they quoted.

I have a Robinson Arms XCR-L with uppers in both 223 & 6.8 SPC from what I understand RA is working on releasing a 6mmX45 barrel.

Being that this is the round that I feel the 223 should have been introduced as all along I will be picking up the barrel as soon as it is available...

So a big thank you for that link to the pdf load data file it will definitely come in handy...

Yup...3 shot group at .840" about 2500 fps, 24gr.
I have not run it over the chrony though since I didnt have it when I shot that load.

I found after I got my F1 chrony that H335 gives me 2710 av FPS at 25.1 gr. with a 5 shot .500" group @ 100 & a 3 shot group @ .510" at 200 yds. Primers on Varget and H335 are nice & rounded, no HP signs.
On the AR forum here I have several loads listed that I ran over the chrony for actual FPS also.
