Ham Hock and sweet potato soup.

Boil the ham hock and reserve the water. Remove the skin and bone from the hock and reserve.
Sweat some finely diced onions in a fry pan. add to water. add one or two shredded carrots and a a couple cups of diced sweet potato.
Add some cinnamon and some curry powder, cook till veggies are tender. Run the mix through the blender to puree. return to pot and return the ham as well. Heat and serve with biscuits or buns.
